Kristy is one of our experienced vet nurses and has been at Thornleigh Veterinary Hospital since 2011. She completed her veterinary nursing certificate IV in early 2009, having known from the age of 6 that she always wanted to work with animals.
Kristy enjoys the surgical aspects of the job and loves nursing animals to recovery and back to health. Kristy also gains great enjoyment in working with the Ku-ring-gai Shelter, as she finds it very fulfilling to find animals their 'furever' homes.
At home, Kristy has four animals of her own, all rescue animals. Her cat 'Mischief' is a troublesome tabby cat who plays fetch and is learning to play the piano! There's energetic 'Yogi', a Staffordshire who is a constant bundle of fun. And we can't forget 'Onyx' and 'Raven', who are sisters that came from the shelter, that Kristy couldn't bear to separate.
Away from the practice Kristy loves snowboarding and unicycling, which she taught herself to do, and now competes in the National Unicycling Competition in a variety of disciplines. She also has a fondness for baking and is learning how to decorate cakes.
